Abstract
Multi-photon QED phenomena have attracted a lot of interests due to strong interactions between individual photons. The quantum optics with doublons, which involves a spatially bound photon pairs due to local nonlinearity, is totally different from its conventional single-photon counterpart.
The waveguide considered in this talk is composed by an array of coupled cavities which have Kerr nonlinearities (1D Bose-Hubbard Model). The emitters, which form different pairs, couple to the waveguide at different locations. In the first part, we consider the nonlinearity is periodically modulated, a band gap appears in the doublon’s spectrum. Based on this model, we show how to realize long-range super-Rabi oscillations (four-body interactions) between two pairs via exchanging virtual doublons. In the second part, we consider the emitters of giant atom form. Given that there are phase differences between two legs, the doublons will be unidirectionally emitted. We reveal the chirality is led by the combined contributions of different interference paths. Last, we show that the emission field is super-correlated.
