講演概要
Nonreciprocal quantum information transmission is essential for achieving invisible sensing or cloaking, and noise-free precision measurement technologies. Conventional nonreciprocal devices, such as diodes and isolators, are typically limited in the classical regime, i.e., one-way control of transmission rates instead of quantum noises. In this talk, I will introduce our recent works on quantum nonreciprocity, including nonreciprocal photon blockade, nonreciprocal quantum entanglement, and nonreciprocal quantum sensing. Especially, we find that (i) Quantum nonreciprocity can exist even in systems without classical nonreciprocity. (ii) When a classical laser drives the same device from different directions, quantum correlations of the outputs can be significantly different, quantum entanglement can emerge in one direction but not the other. (iii) Quantum nonreciprocal devices can protect quantum states against random losses. These results go beyond traditional one-way controls of classical light fields into a purely quantum regime, and build a bridge between the seemingly distant research fields of nonreciprocal physics and quantum technology.
