講演概要
Recent years have witnessed considerable interest in exploring various fascinating aspects of unconventional physical phenomena in non-Hermitian systems. Non-Hermiticity is relevant for continuously monitored quantum many-body systems, which describes physics differently from the master-equation approach, where outcomes are averaged out. In this aspect, the dynamics described by non-Hermiticity is nontrivial. One of its salient characteristics is the point-gap topology and emergence of non-Hermitian skin effect. In this talk, I will start with an overview of non-Hermitian phenomena. Then, I will present our recent investigation on non-Hermitian phenomena, focusing on the peculiar dressed states resulting from the atom-photon coupling in a non-Hermitian topological bath, and interaction-loss controlled non-Hermitian skin effects.

Bio.:Dr. Tao Liu is now professor at School of Physics and Optoelectronics in South China University of Technology, China. He received his Ph.D. in Nanyang Technological University in the year of 2014, Singapore. After he spent three years in the same university as a postdoctoral researcher, he has worked as a JSPS Post-doctoral Fellowship in Theoretical Quantum Physics Laboratory, Riken, Japan. His research interests are mainly focusing on topological phases of matter and non-Hermitian physics. Until now, he has published more than 40 papers, including Physical Review Letters, Nature Communications, Laser & Photonics Review, and Physical Review B.
