    Quantum resource theories and their applications: second laws of quantum resources

講演概要
The advantages of quantum technologies rely on a broad variety of physical phenomena such as quantum entanglement, coherence, or athermality (thermodynamics). Quantum resource theories are a very general framework which aims to unify the characterisation of the different physical resources found in quantum information, helping us understand the constraints on their quantification and manipulation.
Here I would like to introduce everyone to the basic ideas of quantum resource theories and discuss some recent results and open questions. I will discuss in particular the findings of [Lami and Regula, Nat. Phys. 19, 184–189 (2023)] where we used a general resource-theoretic approach to show a fundamental irreversibility of quantum entanglement, revealing a sharp contrast between the theories of entanglement and thermodynamics.
