Abstract
Quantum computing holds tremendous promise, but unlocking real-world impact requires more than advances in hardware or isolated algorithm design. In this talk, I will present a case study focused on accelerating photodynamic therapy for cancer treatment -- an application at the intersection of quantum algorithms, error mitigation, and quantum -- classical hybrid strategies. This behind-the-scenes look highlights the deep technical integration and co-design required to move from theoretical potential to meaningful outcomes in life sciences.
