Abstract
We present a fully quantum method for solving ground-state problems of Hamiltonians with both quadratic and quartic terms, which commonly arise in quantum chemistry, combinatorial optimization, and quantum many-body systems. Our framework is formulated using quantum stochastic differential equations (QSDEs), allowing the dynamics to evolve under quantum noise without requiring any classical optimization or adiabatic evolution. Based on the Lyapunov equation of the steady-state covariance of an open quantum system, we construct gradient-based optimization methods constrained by physical realizability conditions. This approach ensures that all system parameters remain consistent with the laws of quantum mechanics. We validate the proposed framework through numerical examples that illustrate convergence to the desired ground state. These results suggest a new direction to quantum ground-state problems using continuous-time, fully quantum-coherent processes.
