Abstract
The hybridization of energy levels with a coherent driving field, the AC Stark effect, is one of the staple phenomena in quantum optics, linked to well known effects such as electromagnetically induced transparency. However, the possibilities of the nonlinear phenomena that emerge from this hybridization in the context of cavity QED are far from being completely explored. Here, I discuss a series of works in which we exploit the interaction between cavities and qubits dressed by coherent fields for applications in quantum technologies, such as the generation of non-classical states of light and matter [1-3], the emission of quantum radiation in the THz, or the dissipative stabilization of entanglement between non-identical quantum emitters [4].
