講演概要
High precision measurements of the properties of simple atoms can be used to investigate fundamental question of the Standard Model of particle physics. Using in-beam hyperfine spectroscopy of antihydrogen, the matter-antimatter (or CPT) symmetry  can be directly tested and, using hydrogen and deuterium beams, indirectly through the Standard Model Extension, which predicts Lorentz Invariance violation as the source of CPT violation. Gravity as well as hypothetical short-range forces can as well be tested using ultra-slow hydrogen and deuterium beams utilising the phenomenon of quantum reflection from surfaces. I will show recent examples of such measurements performed at AD/ELENA of CERN and Marietta Blau Institute in Vienna.
