講演概要
Förster Resonant energy transfer (FRET) is a common tool in chemistry and biology to measure intermolecular distances. Its standard theoretical framework assumes slow energy transfer rates compared to the reorganization (relaxation) of the molecular degrees of freedom (DOF). However, ultrafast spectroscopy techniques nowadays routinely violate this assumption, and the theory of FRET calls for an extension. In this talk, I present one such formalism that includes transient coherent effects as well as non-Markovian influences by utilizing a novel Ansatz for the evolution of the molecular DOF. To demonstrate the range of applicability, we will discuss the numerical results and compare them to conventional FRET theory as well as HEOM.
