講演概要
Quantum information has provided a new perspective on quantum many-body physics. Beyond local order parameters and conventional correlation functions, information-theoretic quantities such as entanglement entropy and (conditional) mutual information reveal how information is distributed, propagated, and recovered in many-body systems. This viewpoint has reshaped our understanding of phases of matter, guides the analysis of programmable quantum simulators, and connects naturally to quantum technologies, where robust information can be encoded nonlocally in many-body states.
In this talk, I will discuss two examples of this perspective. First, I will present a framework in which solvable entanglement dynamics can be achieved through generalized space-time duality, illustrated by the alternating kicked Ising model. Second, I will discuss the universal decay of mutual information and conditional mutual information in gapped pure- and mixed-state phases, emphasizing their relation to locality, recoverability, and quantum Markov structure. Finally, I will briefly mention some questions I have recently been considering concerning mixed-state phases arising from quantum dynamics, particularly the structure of steady states generated by symmetric local quantum channels or Lindbladian dynamics.
Together, these topics illustrate how quantum information concepts provide both conceptual and technical tools for understanding many-body dynamics and information-protecting structures in quantum phases.
