    Magnon-Based Ising Machines: A Potential Platform for Combinatorial Optimization

Abstract
Ising machines provide a powerful approach to solving combinatorial optimization problems, which arise in diverse applications such as route planning, antenna design, and power transmission. Several physical implementations have been explored, with notable examples including D-Wave systems based on superconducting circuits and coherent Ising machines employing nonlinear optical platforms. More recently, magnon systems have emerged as a promising candidate for realizing Ising machines. Magnons offer unique advantages for building hybrid architectures, as they can couple naturally to spins, phonons, and photons. This versatility opens new opportunities for designing Ising machines, particularly in quantum regimes. In this talk, I will present some of our preliminary results and perspectives on developing magnon-based Ising machines.
