Abstract
This talk will cover two distinct challenging computational problems. The first part investigates combinatorial optimization, focusing on the MaxCut problem solved using coherent Ising machines (CIMs), a type of analog Ising solver. We study the performance of its classical and quantum models along with the role of noise on its solution-finding ability. The second part addresses computational fluid dynamics (CFD), where we apply block-encoding techniques on d-diagonal matrices, a structure frequently arising in two-dimensional lid-driven cavity flow simulations. Together with these two directions, we try to aim to present quantum-classical methods for solving problems across domains.
